Oil boiler installation, repairs and service
Bexhill, Eastbourne, Hastings, Little Common, Pevensey and Sidley
Compared to natural gas boilers, oil boilers are less commonly found in the UK. However, just like LPG boilers/heating systems, they are a good option for properties that are not connected to the natural gas network.
Choosing oil as a means of heating also means that customers are not tied to one fuel supplier, so can shop around for the best deal.
Splash Plumbing Ltd works with all types of oil boilers, and is OFTEC Registered (Oil Firing Technical Association), meaning we have been assessed as competent to work with oil heating, and also cooking appliances.
How do oil boilers work and what type of oil boiler will I need?
In oil central heating systems, heating oil is used in a 'wet' heating system. The oil-fired boiler heats up the water, which in turn supplies warmth to your home via radiators and hot water taps.
Just as with conventional gas fired boilers, you can choose from a conventional heat only, or combination oil boiler installation. We can help you to decide which type of oil boiler is going to best suit your needs.
What is the difference between natural gas and oil as a method of heating?
The main difference between natural (mains) gas and oil is that the latter is delivered by road and stored in a tank, instead of supplying the property via a pipe.
